Elizabeth House is situated at the very end of Pelham Road in Tarring and backs onto Rectory Road.
It is a large scheme of thirty-four ‘studio’ style flats. It is within five minutes of all amenities; shops, post office, hairdressers, chemist and a doctors’ surgery.
There are two attractive communal lounges. The main one is brightly decorated with a small kitchen. It is used for many informal gatherings such as coffee mornings, bingo, raffles, clothes sales, and parties. The other smaller ‘quiet room’ has a small library, which is regularly stocked and is often used for reading or board games.
There is also an attractive guest room with separate bathroom for relatives to use if they wish. There are often trips out in the summer to places such as ‘Middle Farm’ in Polegate and ‘Wiston Gardens’ near Steyning.
Elizabeth House has regular visits from a hairdresser, chiropodist and dentist.
