The Brougham Complex is a large ‘open’ site with a village style atmosphere.
It is at the seafront end of Brougham Road only a short bus ride from the town centre. It houses approximately one hundred and twenty six residents in lots of separate buildings and has the benefits of two Scheme Managers at this site. There are thirteen small blocks of flats, eight small ‘studio’ style bungalows and twenty-six one bedroom bungalows all overlooking spacious, very attractive gardens with some lovely trees. And it’s only a minute from the sea! There are a variety of shops just a short walk from the complex, a bus stop right outside, and the main hospital is just five minutes walk up the road.
The complex has a very large communal lounge overlooking the gardens where bingo, quizzes, coffee morning and many informal gatherings and parties are held, as well as a quiet room with a small library. There is an attractive guest room with en-suite bathroom for visitors to use if they wish, and a committee who arrange entertainment such as quizzes, trips outs and even fish and chips!
