After 15 years of service to Worthing Homes we have to announce that Robin King, Chief Executive has taken the decision to retire as of 31 March 2014.
Robin fell into the world of housing in his early 20s and many of you will know or have met Robin as he has had 25 years of years working in housing in the Worthing area, both at Worthing Borough Council followed by Worthing Homes.
Robin started out as housing manager at Worthing Borough Council in January 1989. Then in December 1998 he was appointed as Chief Executive of Worthing Homes and was instrumental in establishing the company and helping to shape its future when the stock transfer happened in 1999; indeed this year will see us complete our 1000th home.
Robin will now work with the board to begin the process of finding a new Chief Executive to take Worthing Homes forward and continue building the business. During this period the Senior Management Team, Julian Pitcher, Moira James and Robin Roberts will oversee the running of the business.
