We were delighted to learn that we have been short-listed as finalists in the 2014 Sustainable Housing Awards!
Hille Cook, resident and board member, has been short-listed for green tenant of the year for her proactive role in turning a disused piece of land into a community garden, which now offers hands on working days and open days, and is also used as a learning tool for local schools, colleges and community groups.
Phase 2 of our Relish™ project is a finalist in the Sustainable Larger Housing Retrofit Project of the year (more than 25 homes) for our work on three acquired residential blocks – Cambourne, Dene and Glyndebourne Court.
Our development at New Brunswick Drive (on the old St Barnabas site), which consists of 24 terraced and town houses and 37 one and two bedroom flats has been short-listed for the Green Housing Performance award for the sustainability features incorporated in the design.
Finally we are pleased to say that we are finalists in the Social Housing Provider of the Year category for our belief that sustainability is about much more than committing to ‘green’ policies. We believe sustainability is about living successfully in the present without compromising the ability of future generations to do the same.
The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony in London on Friday 17 October.
