The Splash FM awards were held on the evening of the 18th March at the Dome in Worthing.
The event, which is held each year, honours the great and good of Worthing, Adur and Arun.
Worthing Homes was honoured to sponsor the Courage award at this years’ event and was amazed to discover on the night that the competition was so close that there were two winners of this award.
Six-year-old Taylor saved his older brother Mason when he got into difficulty with a garden climbing frame. His prompt action, initiative and bravery in crisis meant that Mason survived what could have been a tragic accident.
And 12-year-old Luke Bettelley has shown extreme courage through a seriously debilitating liver condition, resulting in a transplant last year. While in hospital, Luke had a surprise visit from X Factor finalists JLS – who were highly impressed by his courage and determination to recover.
Both awards were presented by our very own Paul Stanforth.
