So long, farewell

After 33 years with Bramber Construction, one of our partner contractors, we are saying farewell to Ken Woolven as he retires.

During his time with Bramber’s Ken has worked on numerous Worthing Homes projects including coordinating the refurbishments of over 1,500 kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, working with our customers to help them through the process. It was this commitment to Worthing Homes customers that helped Ken and his team receive our contractor of the year award for three consecutive years.

With his time kindly donated by Bramber, Ken also worked on our award winning Community House and in 2007 helped us transform the property into a multi-function community centre and in 2013 he oversaw the transformation of the front garden so that the children who attend could learn to grow fruit and vegetables. In 2009, Ken was given the challenge of building a Worthing Homes carnival float for which he did us proud.

Throughout his time working Ken has also made time for school leavers encouraging them to join Brambers on work tasters.

Kens retirement offers him the opportunity to spend more time with his family and he already has plans to travel more with his caravan in tow or sailing his yacht.

From everyone at Worthing Homes we wish you a long and happy retirement Ken and thank you for all those kitchens and bathrooms!
