For those of you who haven’t heard of the project before, Relish™ stands for ‘Residents 4 Low Impact Sustainable Homes’.
The initiative was launched in March 2009 by Worthing Homes, FFT and Rydon; with the initial 12 month pilot demonstrating the benefits of a sensible and cost effective approach to retrofitting within occupied homes. The project has since continued to go from strength to strength.
Having enjoyed his time in Rio at Sustania100, as one of the top 100 sustainable solutions, Reggie has caught up with the residents on phase 2 where the £3.5m refurbishment works to 157 households is now complete.
The project saw 375 project personnel supporting the work on Relish; and many lessons were learnt on educating households on scale whilst works are in progress.
To find out more about phase 2 of the Relish™ project take a look at the Relish phase 2 12 month report.
The 12 month post works occupancy monitoring is now on going and a further and final report will be issued in 12 months.
