Medal of Excellence

Mark Richardson, resident and Tenant Director, of Worthing Homes has been awarded a City and Guilds Medal for Excellence.

Mark, a teaching assistant as Sompting Village Primary School, was nominated for outstanding performance as a student on Northbrook’s NVQ Level 3 in supporting teaching and learning.

Mark’s tutor Karen Freeman said: “Mark is a credit to Northbrook College and his profession. His determination to succeed has been an inspiration to us all and we are very proud of his achievements. He has developed into a skilled teaching assistant during the course, demonstrating a strong rapport with pupils and staff alike.

“Mark has always had a thirst for learning and approached it with great enthusiasm,” said Moira James, Housing Director at Worthing Homes. “He sets himself very high standards and works hard to achieve them. He first became involved at Worthing Homes through visiting the resource centre and is now a member of the board. It is fantastic that his work for his NVQ has been recognised and that he will pass on his commitment and enthusiasm to many young learners.”
