Norfolk House was officially opened on 8 October and almost immediately all the one bedroom flats have been snapped up.
This is one of the best developments we’ve been involved with and people are really impressed with the quality.
There are a few two bedroom flats available for local key workers wanting short-term or medium-term affordable accommodation and some of them have stunning views! Jo Calder, Worthing Homes’ sales and leasehold advisor
Among the headline guests at the opening were Peter Bottomley (MP), Worthing Mayor, Noel Atkins and council members from both Arun and Adur District Councils. Tenants, staff and local businesses all enjoyed tea and cakes in the transformed ground floor space, which will be let as retail units.
The celebration marked not only the launch of this new landmark building for Worthing, but also a key landmark for Worthing Homes. 2009 is their tenth year in business and as a part of their ‘celebration of 10!’ they are showcasing their ‘Renewal and Regeneration’ initiative. An exhibition detailing key projects, including Davison House, Hildon Park, Carmel House, Murphy House, Phoenix House, Lennox Mews and others, highlighted how the £80 million Worthing Homes has invested in regenerating run down areas has impacted on the town.
“When we look back over what has been achieved in our first ten years of operation, we are proud and a little surprised,” says Robin Roberts, Worthing Homes property services director. “It’s not until you consider it all together, that you actually realise how much has been achieved in such a short amount of time. We’re also really proud to be one of the top ranking social landlords in the country.”
