Children that attend the community house in East Worthing were given a treat on Friday in the form of a Christmas party at the wave centre with three special Santa’s in attendance.
The children had a great time playing a variety of games including pass the parcel, musical chairs and the parachute game.
In true community spirit the party was enabled thanks to an anonymous individual who donated money for the party with which the community house team were able to lay on a fantastic tea for both the children and parents that attended; staff from Worthing Barclays bank who donated presents for all the children and sent their three Santa’s to hand deliver the gifts, and finally the Broadwater Baptist church who allowed us to use their hall so that the children had more room for the fun and games.
Community House Project Manager Alison Edwards said: “It’s wonderful to see so many children taking part in the games and enjoying themselves. The children’s faces when they received the Christmas presents were joyous as it wasn’t something they were expecting at all! Finally It wouldn’t have been such a grand event if we hadn’t had the support from Barclays Bank, Broadwater church and the anonymous donor so we really do thank them very much for their support.”
