Worthing Homes has again been awarded the Investors in People standard.
The company first achieved the award in 2005 and successfully renewed the award in 2008. Over the past three years there have been many pressures and staff have had to adapt to new targets and business goals. At the same time we have continued to aim to progress excellent working practices that encourage the development and involvement of all staff.
An external Investors in People assessor undertook the three year review during May 2011. He interviewed approximately a third of staff, selecting individuals from across all areas of the business and taking into account a mix of roles and length of service.
The assessor was encouraged by the positivity of the staff at Worthing Homes. He was able to provide feedback about our good working practices and upbeat comments about people’s experience of being a Worthing Homes employee, as well as suggesting a few constructive comments about areas for ongoing development.
The assessment showed that Worthing Homes is a supportive and flexible employer that promotes training and learning opportunities for all its staff and encourages staff to progress and develop themselves and their skills throughout their employment at the company.
