Due to an increasing number of incidents involving resident’s dogs behaving and / or acting aggressively we now ask that all dogs are shut away securely when staff or contractors are visiting the premises.
Please note it is now against the law to let a dog be dangerously out of control anywhere including in the owners home. Your dog is considered dangerously out of control if it:
- Injures someone
- Makes someone worried that it might injure them
A court could also decide that your dog is dangerously out of control if:
- it injures someone’s animal
- the owner of the animal thinks they could be injured if they tried to stop your dog attacking their animal
Please note the law applies to all dogs and the penalties are high. For more information on the law and the penalties an owner faces if their dog is found to be dangerously out of control go to www.gov.uk/control-dog-public
