Fun, fun, fun

Last Saturday (15 July) played host to our annual Funday, held at the Maybridge Keystone Club.

Along with our usual activities such as face painting, art zone, coconut shy and soft play area we introduced some new activities, a bungee run which was highly popular, making bug hotels for the garden and Scalextric powered by your pedal power!

We were pleased to be joined on the day by the Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr Alex Harman and his wife Fran, along with the youth mayor Josh Davies, who took the time to mingle with the 673 visitors that came along on the day as well as posing for a few photographs.

During the event we were joined by none other than Gully, the Brighton and Hove Albion mascot, who joined in with the penalty shoot-out much to the children’s delight.

“What a fantastic turn out for this event,” said Clive Cavanagh, community development manager. “Opportunities to mix with both residents and the wider community whilst providing activities – both fun and educational – for them to take part in is just one of the many ways in which we like to make a difference. Our business isn’t just about the bricks and mortar it’s about people, enabling them to create and enjoy the community and support their lives.”
