Fun for all

We were joined, in the sunshine, by 538 people at our annual fun day held on Saturday 1 August.

The event took place at Maybridge Keystone Club and provided an opportunity for people of all ages from the community to meet with Worthing Homes staff and have fun.

Face painting, a bouncy castle and soft play area, fun photo booth, coconut shy, pamper area and test your strength were just some of the many activities on offer; with entertainment provided by Lauren Crichton – Sussex theatre singer of the year 2014 and 2015, and Marky Wild from Magical Children’s Entertainment.

We were also joined by some partner agencies on the day such as West Sussex County Council with their recycling trailer, Transition Town Worthing, Northbrook college and sea/marine cadets from TS Vanguard.

Simon Anderson, resident services manager, said: “It was fantastic to see so many people of all ages having fun and enjoying the day. This year the visitor numbers surpassed what we have had in previous years, by so much that we ran out of food! Although we lay on the event free of charge we do allow people to make donations, if they wish, to our chosen charity so this year the day raised £30 for Worthing Scope.”
