On Thursday 15th September 2011, RedAssure presented their first ever Full of Life Festival at Worthing Assembly Hall. The Worthing Mayor, Councillor Ann Barlow opened the event to an enthusiastic crowd who were waiting at the door for the festival to commence.
The festival bought together local businesses and charity organisations to showcase what is available and happening in the Worthing area for people over 50, family members and care providers. Firefighter Angela Gates swapped her Fire Kit for an apron to cook up some simple, nutritious and cost effective recipes whilst taking the opportunity to talk about fire safety in the kitchen. Attendees were also treated to demonstrations from ‘Singing for pleasure’, Short Mat Bowls and Worthing Creative Dance.
What a great event for carers, seniors and family members. Free advice and information as well as fun activities all under one roof. Debby Holden, RedAssure manager
