Staff from Worthing Homes recently took part in a dementia friends training session run by Guild Care.
The one hour session entailed the group working in pairs and individually on understanding how dementia affects people living with it, the signs that someone has dementia and what we can do to help them.
The staff who took part in the training found it to be informative, interactive and highly thought provoking.
The supported business manager, Simon Anderson , who attended the training session said: “We thoroughly enjoyed the interesting and informative Dementia Friends training we received, which has helped us to understand how we can help people living with dementia. Worthing Homes is fully committed to becoming a Dementia Friendly organisation.”
