Having had to postpone our annual Fun day for the last 2 years due to the pandemic we were delighted to be able to host this fun free event for our residents and the wider community. Along with Lady Mayor Henna Chowdhury we were joined on the day by 300 people.
Held at the Maybridge Keystone club on Saturday 16 July we had something for everyone, from a giant inflatable slide and inflatable jousting for the older children and adults through to mini tractors, face painting and arts & crafts for the younger children. We also promoted our resident engagement opportunities and Bee safe and sound campaign, whilst Boom credit Union, Adur and Worthing Wellbeing Hub and West Sussex recycling were on hand giving out advice.
The day including food and refreshments is paid for by Worthing Homes and run by their staff. Carly Tucker, resident engagement worker said ‘This was our first post pandemic big event and it was lovely to be able to meet so many residents and members of the community in such a relaxed fun environment. For us, Worthing Homes, working closely with our residents and getting to know them is a key part of our ethos. We maybe a landlord but we believe in nurturing and helping residents to create a sustainable future’.
