Engagement, laughter and discussion

Not only was Thursday 5 September one of the warmest days of the year, it was also the day for our annual residents conference, which was held at Field Place, Worthing.

As with last years conference our senior and corporate management teams gathered with over 35 residents and presented information on our previous years performance to them . The residents, some attending for the first time, also had the opportunity to give their views and input into our annual report which is due to be published later on this month.

In the afternoon Moira James, housing director, gave a presentation on Welfare Reform which sparked a number of questions and debate amongst the attendees; This was followed by a community house presentation by Alison Edwards, project manager who talked about the important but rewarding work that the house does particularly in relation to children from the East Worthing area.

Simon Anderson, supported business manager was pleased with the conference saying: “We were pleased to see so many residents taking time out to engage with us, and give us their views on our performance. It was great to see a number of residents attending the conference for the first time and the feedback from all of the attendees about the day has been positive.”
