We are delighted to be involved in Constructing Excellence’s new Innovation in Practice programme, as it showcases our project through a well respected national best practice organisation. Robin Roberts, property services director, Worthing Homes
Constructing Excellence is delighted to announce the launch of the Innovation in Practice programme for its members. The new programme is an exciting opportunity for organisations to get involved in knowledge sharing throughout the sector and is the latest evolution of the demonstration programme.
Constructing Excellence is looking for companies within the construction sector to compete for their projects or organisational change programmes to achieve Innovation in Practice status. Jon de Souza, director, Constructing Excellence said: “We are really excited about the new Innovation in Practice programme as it will enable us to gather in-depth best practice information from forward-thinking, innovative projects and organisations that will help us to prove the business case for change across industry.”
Constructing Excellence is pleased to announce that the first member company to be accepted onto the new programme is Worthing Homes who are developing a pilot scheme ‘Residents 4 Low Impact Sustainable Homes’ (Relish™) which proposes to work towards the Government’s 80% target reduction in CO2 emissions. The project wishes to demonstrate through a combination of low cost retrofit improvements and resident education, how a reduction in CO2 emissions can be sensibly achieved in occupied homes.
Outputs from the programme will include in-depth case studies, events and other profile raising activities.
Constructing Excellence is the only industry-wide body operating in the UK built environment industry and the new Innovation in Practice programme will assist them in their remit to deliver a better built environment across the UK by sharing best practice.
