Colleagues challenge for charity

On Saturday 6th July 2013, four members of staff will be attempting the Snowdonia Challenge, an incredibly tough endurance event set in the stunning Snowdonia National Park.

Team RIVI aka Roger Geere, Ian Reed, Vic Horswell and Ian Wright are all keen cyclists and sportsmen so thought they would put their interests to good use and raise some money for a very worthwhile charity, as well as pushing themselves out of their comfort zone.

The challenge will see them cycling over 40 miles around Snowdonia, running / walking up and down Mount Snowdon and canoeing around Lake Gwynant all in a single day. The team are aiming to complete the challenge in about eight hours so need as much motivation as they can get!

Ian Wright said: “This will be a gruelling challenge but we will be doing it for a great cause. The charity is REGAIN which is the only registered charity dedicated to supporting people who become tetraplegic (severely paralysed) as a result of a sporting or leisure accident. One minute these individuals are fit, active and healthy, the next they are paralysed and in need of support for the rest of their lives.”

To help the team out with some support and motivation please go to their Just giving page and donate as much you can for this worthwhile cause!
