25 caring years

Local company RedAssure celebrates 25 years of telecare in Worthing this year.

Established in 1986, Worthing’s telecare service was originally called Worthing Careline and was operated by Worthing Borough Council. In 1999 the telecare service transferred to Worthing Homes as part of the large scale voluntary stock transfer from the Council.

I’m thrilled that we are celebrating our 25th anniversary. The team we have are professional, friendly and highly trained, and it is their dedication that makes RedAssure stand out from the crowd. Linda Beldam, supported business manager

Careline’s range of products and services continued to develop and by 2007 the service was so different from that of the 1980’s the decision was made to rebrand and ‘RedAssure’ was launched on 18th July that year.

Since then RedAssure have gone from strength to strength. In 2009 they were the first telecare company in the country to pass the TSA (Telecare Services Association) code of practice standard, and in December 2010 the team opened their first shop.

To help celebrate their 25 year anniversary RedAssure is hosting the Full of Life Festival on 15th September 2011 at the Assembly Hall in Worthing town centre. The festival will bring together many people and services that can make a significant difference to the way vulnerable people live, regardless of their age.
