All Together Arun projects will be rooted in the interests and priorities of residents in each area. The more involved local people are in designing, improving and leading local community projects, the more likely the project is to make a positive difference.
If you live in Felpham, Littlehampton or Wick- fill in the survey here . Or feel free to call or message any of the community development team, to arrange a more in depth chat.
Represent fellow residents
This project is in its early stages, so there are plenty of opportunities for you to play a more influential role in how Together Arun is designed, developed, evaluated and delivered.
In each of these roles you will have access to support and training every step of the way. Community development team members will support your personal development.
We are looking for:
Community researchers:
If you enjoy talking to anyone and everyone, are curious about what makes people tick or getting to the root of issues, you might be interested in becoming a community researcher. The purpose of this role is to ensure more people’s voices are heard on local issues and to build relationships which enable more local people to contribute their ideas and energies to community projects.
Community researchers will receive training and support from Worthing Homes Community Trust. No prior research experience is necessary. You will be supported to develop your skills, connect with other community researchers, have fun and make a difference in your local community.
If you are interested, please email Bryony at blawless@worthing-homes.org.uk or call on 07968574927 to chat in more depth.
Community panel
If you’re the kind of person who has high hopes, loves seeing the big picture, spotting opportunities and making sure everyone’s voice is heard, then you might be interested in becoming a Community Panel member for the Together Arun project.
This panel will hold the Worthing Homes Community Trust team accountable to the project aims expressed in our Lottery bid. You will use your local knowledge and personal experience to sense-check project plans, you will support the team to evaluate the success of individual projects, you will also work to ensure that all project strands can be sustainable long-term.
You don’t need any particular experience, just an enjoyment of details, discussion and aspirations for your neighbourhood.
If you are interested, please email Bryony at blawless@worthing-homes.org.uk or call on 07968574927 to chat in more depth
Volunteering opportunities
