I am a qualified certified accountant and have worked in housing since 2016 when I joined Worthing Homes as Finance Manager. Previous to that, I spent 17 years working in finance in the domiciliary care sector, spending most of my working life in organisations with strong social values.
I love triva and am Worthing Homes’ resident quizmaster. I can also be found nose deep in a good book (Terry Pratchett and Stephen King are particular favourites), knitting and watching films.

I began my career in housing straight after graduating, working with the street homeless community in night shelters. For over 20 years I’ve worked with G15 housing providers across London and Sussex, delivering services across all tenures. For the past five years, I’ve focused on service improvement and embedding learnings into delivery of services as well as performance management.
Everyone genuinely cares about people, progress and making a difference. Whether its through the work we do, the way we support each other or the impact we have in communities – there’s real purpose here.

I try to avoid repeating what’s already been done—so karaoke is a bit too ‘legacy system’ for me. But if I had to pick, I’d probably go with “Anti Hero” Taylor Swift – I and my daughter love to sing it in the car.
By 2050, I believe humans and AI will work closely together—AI handling routine tasks, freeing people to focus on creativity, community, and purpose-driven work. Careers will be more fluid, with global collaboration made seamless through real-time translation and neural interfaces. I hope sustainability will be at the core, with organisations measured by their social and environmental impact—not just profit.
But this future depends on how we manage AI governance, wealth distribution, climate action, and the meaning we give to work today.
There is so much variety to every week, I get to be involved in so many things that shape what we’re doing and where we want to be in future. I like that I get to build partnerships with other organisations locally to see how we best serve local people together. Nothing makes me happier than connecting the dots and helping people and organisations make connections where I can see that they can help each other. I also really love working with my motivated and dedicated managers who bring so many good ideas and momentum to what we’re trying to do.
I started out as a Housing Officer in 2011 which I did for 7 years before moving on to become the Housing & Property Services Manager at a small support housing provider for 5 years before joining Worthing Homes. I’ve had lots of experience of working with commissioners and partners like the NHS to pilot new approaches to supported housing. My main areas of knowledge are around Housing Management and housing law. I’ve been on the Management Committee for a Supported Housing Forum, helping to organise the annual conference, and have had the privilege of being involved in lots of government consultations. One of the things I’m proudest of is having had some of my suggested additions made to the Renters Rights Act.
Outside work my main interests are playing beach volleyball, reading and sea swimming.
The genuine passion and drive of some many of our colleagues to make a difference, to do the right thing and to try new things if we think they’ll make a difference to our customers.

I love that every day brings something new—whether it’s fixing a leaky tap, solving a tricky repair, or helping clear up fly tipping to keep our community looking its best. No matter what comes up, I’m always ready to sort out complex and routine cases, coordinate with contractors, and make sure everything runs smoothly, so customers can feel confident their homes are in good hands
I like to think I’m an expert at juggling—budgets, schedules, and occasionally being a therapist from time to time. I wouldn’t change it for the world! I love that no two days are the same in my role. My experience? 20 years plus of turning ‘uh-ohs’ into ‘all sorted!’ and making sure Worthing stays in tip-top shape. I’ve got professional qualifications under my belt, like ILM Level 5, and (dare I say it) I’m about to sit my Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) exam. Then, in the new year, I’m looking to start a Level 5 in Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).
I’m proud to be part of a team that doesn’t just fix homes—we help build communities and we do it with care and kindness. We’re substantial enough to drive change in our community, but still personal enough that you’re never just a number.

My entire People (HR) career spanning almost two decades has been within the not-for-profit sector working across homelessness and addiction, complex needs, housing, social health, and social care. I am fully CIPD qualified with a MSc in HR Management and a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership. My skill base includes Organisational Development, strategy formation, leading organisational change, and tackling complex employee relations. I am passionate about challenging preconceptions of People (HR), embedding the People function throughout an organisation, and genuinely adding value.

I absolutely love living by the sea, my favourite place would be having a cold glass of wine in my home village of Ferring.
I would never inflict my singing on anyone, but I absolutely love a bit of 80’s cheese. That said, if I had to name one song, it would be ‘All out of love’ by Air Supply – this was the first song that my husband sent me, and we walked down the aisle to this at our wedding.
Technology will have hugely advanced in this time, but it would be my hope that we continue to retain the human aspect of Worthing Homes for our colleagues and customers. I am excited to see what AI brings, but for me, it will never replace human interaction. It would be my prediction (knowing our culture) that we will utilise new technologies to provide an even better people-first service.
A range of non-executive directorships, but most of my time I spend with Surrey Police, NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation, Abri Group, and Bourne Education Trust. That’s where I spend most of my time.
My skills are in communications, media, and marketing. It’s a space I really enjoy. In the last 4 years, I have been with the Abri Group and chaired a customer service performance committee. People are at the heart of everything I have ever done — how they respond to media and how to interact with them. I’ve always had a social conscience.

I am a social worker by trade, and have worked extensively in mental health and substance misuse services as well as the prison service. My first paid job many moons ago was in housing working in homelessness services.

Investigating complaints can often be seen as a negative, however this is something that I really enjoy about my role, I love listening to our customers and facilitating positive changes in our processes and procedures, making sure we learn from our complaints. I manage the fantastic Customer Experience Team who I love working with every day, they work extremely hard to ensure they deliver a brilliant service for our customers and this is something I am really proud of.
I have worked in housing for the last 7 years, originally working at Southern Housing Group as a Customer Service Manager before moving to Worthing Homes 2 years ago into my current role. Prior to working in housing, I worked in banking for 17 years, during this time I worked in many different roles across RBS & Natwest with my last roles managing a Business support team supporting small and medium sized business across Surrey & Sussex.
I was fortunate enough to leave RBS with the option to really think about what I wanted to do, Housing had always really interested me and I wanted to work in a sector where I could make a difference.

Since graduating from Brighton University in 1994, my entire career has been dedicated to housing. I have experience in youth supported housing, housing options, homelessness services, housing management, and, since 2009, lettings and allocations. My work life has spaned charities, local authorities, and housing associations.
In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, socialising, dancing, and cooking. I also love gardening and can easily spend hours pottering around, finding it to be a form of active relaxation. I also enjoy curling up on the sofa at the end of the day to watch a good series on the TV.

I believe I have one of the best jobs in the business because we help improve our customers’ homes. I grew up in social housing, so I know how important it is to have a home that is safe, comfortable and well looked after.
Technology is developing all the time, and it is helping us manage the large amount of information we hold about our customers’ homes. This gives us a better understanding of our customers’ needs, helps us keep our records accurate, and allows us to plan improvements before problems arise.
With more than 30 years’ experience in social housing, I have worked in finance, programme management and project management roles. I am trained in Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and PRINCE2 and have extensive experience using asset management systems.

Been with Worthing Homes nearly 11 years and love what we do as an organization and also love working with my team mates and what we are involved in.

I have worked in housing for over 20 years, I started my career as an income recovery officer/manager for a housing association in Suffolk and then worked for CDHA in Hove when I moved back to the South East, before joining Worthing Homes as a temporary housing officer. Possibly a bit cliché but I do love that no two days are the same. My role is all about implementing improvements for colleagues and our customers so I work on a very broad range of projects and really enjoy having variety in my days.
I’ve worked in housing for nearly 15 years now, in a variety of housing management roles. I joined Worthing Homes at the end of 2019 as a Neighbourhood Manager before moving to my current role in November 2023. I worked for some large and some small housing associations and have always been someone who is keen to get stuck in and improve systems, processes and, ultimately, the service we provide to our customers. Outside of work I enjoy creative hobbies and can often be heard saying “I could make/do that” (the reality is I can’t!). I also love traveling although definitely don’t get to go on holiday as much as I would like.
My preference would be Audrey Hepburn circa 1958. Not because I look or act anything like her of course, but a girl can hope!
In Worthing it has to be the beach. I love floating in the sea and washing all of my troubles away. Beyond Worthing my favourite place in the world is New Zealand. Quite simply the most magical place I have ever been. Though the Scottish Highlands do also come quite close. Anywhere with big sky and big hills is my happy place.
