Abandoned vehicles
Abandoned vehicles can be an eyesore and a hazard for the local environment.
If you think a vehicle has been abandoned please ring 01903 703 102 to report the vehicle, giving us as much information as possible:
Description of the vehicle, colour, registration number, which road it is parked in, how long it has been there.
We will check to see if the vehicle is on our land, if it is, we will place a notice on the vehicle stating that the owner has 7 days to remove it. If there is no response from the owner, Worthing Homes will try to contact them directly and then issue a final 7 day notice.
If the owner still refuses to remove the vehicle, Worthing Homes will contact Worthing Borough Council. If the owner is not a tenant then WBC will arrange for the vehicle to be removed 8 days after contacting them.
In some of our parking areas we have asked Capital2Coast Parking Management to remove untaxed vehicles, trailers or caravans that are parked on our land. Signs inform residents that this operation is in place. In these areas no notices will be placed on the vehicle first.
If Capital2Coast Parking Management remove a vehicle, trailer or caravan there is a release fee of £125.
