How can you get involved?


There are many ways that you can become involved.  For full details see our menu of opportunities. (pdf file)  We are always looking for more people to take part.


Our most popular initiatives include:


Mystery shopping

If you are a resident of Worthing Homes you could become a mystery shopper and we will reward you with high street vouchers. More details on mystery shopping


Community House

In March 2007 Worthing Homes opened its first community house in Dominion Road, East Worthing, and it has gone from strength to strength.  More details on the Community House.


The Resource Centre

The Resource Centre is open to everyone and available to rent.  Futures Training run regular IT training and other creative groups also meet during the week. More details on the resource centre 


Football in the Community

Worthing Homes and other landlords across Sussex are working on this unique project with Brighton and Hove Albion in the Community.  The project uses football as a positive activity for young people to promote teamwork, inclusion achievement, respect and self-belief.  All activities are free to Worthing Homes residents but most are free to all.  More details on Football in the Community (external link)


Residents' Panel

This is a consultative group made up of residents, leaseholders and licencees. More details on the residents' panel.


Kick Start Grants

We are interested in supporting groups that meet the needs of our residents.  You may want to set up a coffee morning for the over 60s, a youth club from a church, a mothers group, or form a club to help people eat healthily. More details on Kick Start Grants

 

Shareholding

As a tenant or leaseholder of Worthing Homes you can become a shareholding member of the company. By becoming a member you will be able, and  expected to attend Annual General Meetings and Extraordinary General Meetings. More details on shareholding
