Property services team
The property services team looks after the improvements and repair of Worthing Homes’ stock. They are also responsible for overseeing the health and safety duties of the organisation.
In addition, the team provides professional services to Worthing Borough Council and Guild Care.
Property services is subdivided into three areas looked after by discrete teams:
The asset team
The asset team is responsible for all reactive and planned maintenance, managed by our asset manager. They are responsible for our day to day repairs, empty properties, out of hours emergencies, major improvements, cyclical works, such as gas servicing and external painting, as well as the overall management of our properties. This team includes our Health and Safety officer who ensures we meet our statutory obligations.
The operations team
The operations team is our in-house workforce known as Greenspace and Homespace. The teams are managed by our operations manager and are responsible for empty homes repairs, day to day repairs and grounds maintenance, which includes the management of all our open spaces, play areas and shrubs/hedges.
The development team
The development team sources new development opportunities and funding from the local authority and the HCA (Homes and Communities Agency) to build new homes for rent. When completed, these are handed over and managed on a day to day basis by the asset team.
