Value for Money Standards
In the current financial climate we all need to think about value for money, and ensure that the balance between providing the services that residents want and getting the best that you can afford is met.
-
We will identify the costs of services and activities and use this information to manage our resources and provide cost-effective, efficient, quality services and homes
-
We will involve residents in deciding how expenditure is prioritised and how any money saved as a result of achieving better value is spent
-
We will benchmark our costs against other landlords and identify best practice
-
We will achieve performance in the top 25% of the housing association sector
-
We will demonstrate our value for money achievements and performance and report this in Home News and to a Resident Scrutiny Committee
-
We will involve residents in deciding on the services where we charge a service charge
-
We will take all reasonable steps to collect money due to us from rents, service charges and other sources of income
-
We will review our procurement policies to ensure we obtain value for money in the goods and services we purchase including services provided by all of our contractors
*This is just one of our suite of Service Standards. Our value for money, equality and diversity and customer contact standards apply to all of our other standards
