Anti Social Behaviour Standards

We know that pleasant, safe communities and neighbourhoods free from anti-social behaviour are good places to live. We treat reports of anti-social behaviour very seriously and are committed to doing all we can to deal with and prevent anti social behaviour.

  • We will have a duty housing officer available between 9am and 5pm everyday

  • We will respond to all reports of Anti-Social Behaviour and advise on the response times you can expect; in an emergency we will respond the same day

  • We will give advice at the first point of contact

  • We will agree a plan of action with victims and witnesses and ensure they are kept informed of what is happening to resolve and close the case

  • We will use the most appropriate method of recording / witnessing incidents, including specialist recording equipment and working with partner agencies

  • We will give all new Worthing Homes residents a 'starter' tenancy

  • We will use neighbourhood agreements and define acceptable behaviour standards to establish boundaries in behaviour where appropriate to counter Anti-Social Behaviour

  • We will investigate your report of Anti-Social Behaviour fairly, interviewing witnesses and the perpetrator(s) and gather information from partner agencies and other sources

  • We will work with partner agencies to acheive resolution

  • We will only use formal legal actions if others fail

*This is just one of our suite of Service Standards. Our value for money, equality and diversity and customer contact standards apply to all of our other standards.
