The Ostlers
Worthing homes has completed a new development in Littlehampton this week; their second development this year.
The Ostlers – formally known as The Railway Club – was built on the site of an old public house. The building was renamed after the discovery of an old ostlery at the rear of the development (see pictures below). The ostlery would have housed the ostler who would have been employed by an inn or a pub to take care of the horses. These buildings are now very rare and Worthing Homes is pleased to be able to preserve this piece of history.

The development consists of 23 homes in total, this includes 3 four bedroom maisonettes and 14 two bedroom flats.
Mary Evans, Senior Development Project Manager said, “The properties have been built in keeping with the local environment, but have a modern feel to them.”
The new residents moved in on the 18 April.
