Rent freeze for tenants

Article information Published on: January 5, 2010 Prepared by: Suzanne Newman

Worthing Homes has taken the decision this year to keep rents the same. There will be no rent increase in April 2010. In addition your service charge will remain at the same level.

If you are in receipt of housing benefit you do not need to tell the Council’s revenue and benefits section.

If you are a sheltered tenant your support charge has been reduced in line with a reduction in the amount of grant paid by West Sussex County Council. Your new support charge will be £1.87 for your alarm equipment and £12.78 for your housing related support, totalling £14.65 per week.
