On 19 August Worthing Homes sponsored a fun afternoon at the Maybridge BMX track.
The event was attended by 70 young people and 40 adults who came along to enjoy the sunshine and show off their BMX skills.
Worthing Homes organised a BBQ, cooked beautifully by two local residents Ginny Hewlett and Jennifer Watson. Barry de Courcy and volunteers from the Maybridge Keystone Club in Raleigh Way organised games. George from the Worthing Churches Homeless Project who have started a “cycle re cycle” project out of 26-28 The Strand, Goring was on hand to kindly look at the young people’s bikes and PC Jenny Jellis and PCSO Ros Tithe security marked 29 bikes and postcoded more than 12.
Everyone who attended also had the opportunity to comment and make suggestions for improvements to the facility.
