Social housing

Worthing Homes is one of the RSLs operating in the Sussex coastal region. The rents for social housing are well below the market levels (approximately 50% lower). Usually only those who are registered with a Local Authority or a Housing Association are eligible to apply for social rented properties.

Since December 2009 choice based lettings have been in place, this gives you more choice about the area you live in.

Homemove is the choice based lettings system for council and Housing Association homes in Sussex.

In order to bid for properties you must be registered with a Local Authority. To register with local authorities we work with, please visit their respective websites:

For more information on choice based lettings and how the system works you can download the Homemove Scheme User Guide or visit the Homemove website.

If you are not eligible for social housing, why not look at our other options?

Affordable Rent Scheme

If you would like to be considered for one of our affordable rented homes, please register with your local council as early as possible, for more information about affordable rent see our guide to Affordable rent leaflet and our Tenancy policy - affordable rent scheme.
