Activities and volunteering

We run a variety of activities, from coffee mornings to after-school activities, and help with education and training – we offer something for everyone.

Amongst the activities on offer are:

  • Krafty Kids – arts activities for all abilities
  • Cookery for kids (under 11) – learn how to prepare and cook delicious healthy food
  • Cooking for older children (11 and over) – learn how to prepare and cook delicious food
  • Green Gang – an eco-friendly gardening and art club

Help with homework is available every day and we have a number of computers and a printer that can be used for this or for job searches, to get information, or for general internet use.

Activities for adults:


Blueprint 22 presents PROFILE, a new project for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or those Unsure about their sexuality (LGBTU). Every Wednesday from 18:00PM to 20:00PM at the Community House.

If you are aged 16-25 and want to get involved, check out the Blueprint 22 website or contact them using the details below. Any calls / texts / emails will be completely confidential.

IT club

Learn basic IT skill such as updating your CV, emailing, booking holidays, internet shoppings and completing online forms e.g housing claims and job applications. Every Monday 10:00AM  to 12:00pm

Young at heart

Join us for a fun filled morning, meet new people, make new friends!

11:00AM every Wednesday morning at Pearsons Retreat, Brougham Road.

Volunteering – give a little time and get a lot back!

Ever thought you might enjoy giving some time to a worthwhile cause? If so

With just one or two hours a week you can make a big difference! We will give you training and support, and encourage you to learn new skills and get involved as much or as little as you want.
