Accessibility

Access to the Internet takes many different forms including screen readers, Braille displays, voice recognition software and magnification software. These technologies require pages to be created in accessible HTML. In addition, people with learning and cognitive disabilities have problems with inconsistent navigation mechanisms and flickering, moving or complicated designs.

Web pages that are accessible to users with disabilities will also be accessible to users using older (eg slow modem connections, older computers, text-only web browsers) or emerging (eg PDA's; Auto Audio browsers; cell phones) technologies.

PDF files

PDF
files require the free Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® for viewing.

Pages that contain a Non HTML format, like Adobe's Portable Document Format, or PDF, can be provided in an accessible format by contacting the office.

If you are blind, partially-sighted, or using any kind of improved access browser or text-to-speech software, you may find it helpful to visit the Adobe Access web site, which offers the facility to turn PDF's into a format that offers greater compatibility with screen reader software packages.
