Building new homes

Our development team have a wealth of experience and knowledge in providing the perfect place that you can call home!

Providing good quality affordable homes and creating thriving communities for people in the local area is a passion of ours.  We believe that it is the foundation required for so many other things that we all depend on but may take for granted such as security, education, health, work and support networks.

Our Business Plan target is to deliver a rolling programme of 500 new homes over 5 years; and we specialise in small to medium size opportunities with our focus being on delivering affordable housing for rent and shared ownership, both of which are then managed by our local neighbourhood teams.  In certain locations we will also consider private sale opportunities from which we invest the surplus into our core business.

We are keen to buy land and explore opportunities in areas where we currently provide excellent housing management services, support community wellbeing and have strong strategic alliances with the Local Authorities (Worthing, Adur, Arun, Chichester and Horsham); and will consider land opportunities, package deals, joint ventures, S106 schemes, portfolio acquisitions and regeneration opportunities.

Development manager

Damian has worked in housing for over 20 years, initially in finance and housing management but he then made the change to development for a regional housing association in the East Midlands.

Since 2005 Damian has had various development management roles both for national and regional housing associations, covering Hampshire and Sussex.

He has extensive experience in delivering new builds, regeneration sites, and refurbishment, extra-care and s106 schemes; along with brownfield, greenfield and rural exception sites.

Damian has been leading the team as Worthing Homes Development Manager since 2016.

Joshua Boots

Joshua Boots

Development project manager

Josh joined Worthing Homes in 2017 as a Development Project Manager.  He has been in the Housing Industry for 8 years with the first 4 of these as an estate agent.  He then decided to take his passion for housing to a different level and become a trainee land and planning manager for Hyde Housing.

He has been involved in land seeking and planning applications on various developments ranging from 10 units up to 120; and has been party to joint venture deals involving schemes ranging from 200 units to 1000.

Joshua is passionate about new build developments, architecture and design, and of course providing more affordable homes for people in need!

Heene Road, Worthing

On the site of the old MGM building we will have 7 affordable rent (5 one bed and 2 two bed) flats, and 3 shared ownership (1 one bed and 2 two bed) flats built.

Due to complete February 2019 the affordable rent homes will be available via the council housing list; the shared ownership homes will be sold by us with details on our shared ownership page and the Help to Buy site nearer to completion

Ashdown Grove, Barnham

Ashdown Grove is a new development in the idyllic setting of Barham, one of six villages in West Sussex.

On the site we will have 26 affordable rent (12 one bed and 14 two bed) houses, and 6 shared ownership (4 two bed, 1 three bed and 1 four bed) houses built.

The first phase (a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership) completed in  August 2018. Phase 2 (10 affordable rent and 2 shared ownership) are due to complete November 2018; with phase 3 (4 affordable rent and 2 shared ownership) completing in February 2019.

The affordable rent homes will be available via the council housing list; the shared ownership homes will be sold by us with details on our shared ownership page and the Help to Buy site as each phase nears completion

Pagham Road, Pagham

Our homes will be part of a new development being built by Crayfern Homes. Pagham is on the outskirts of Bognor Regis and close to both Chichester and the outstanding Witterings area.

On the site we will have 9 affordable rent (8 two bed flats and 1 one bed bungalow) houses, and 3 shared ownership (2 two bed houses and 1 one bed bungalow) built.

These homes will be completed between November 2018 and June 2019

The affordable rent homes will be available via the council housing list; the shared ownership homes will be sold by us with details on our shared ownership page and the Help to Buy site as they near completion

Kings Close, Yapton

Yapton is a village and civil parish in the Arun District of West Sussex, England. It is centered three miles north east of Bognor Regis. The parish of Yapton lies on the coastal plain south west of Arundel, between the South Downs and the sea

On the site we will have 4 affordable rent (1 two bed coach house and 3 two bed houses) homes, and 1 three bed shared ownership home built.

These will be available between December 2018 and March 2019

The affordable rent homes will be available via the council housing list; the shared ownership homes will be sold by us with details on our shared ownership page and the Help to Buy site as they near completion

West Durrington, Worthing

Nestled between Worthing seafront and the South Downs National Park, this new development is in a fantastic location, surrounded by a wealth of parks and wooded areas,

Phase 3B of the development will see 15 affordable rent (4 one bed flats, 2 two bed flats, 3 two bed houses and 6 three bed houses) and 9 shared ownership (1 two bed flat, 8 2 bed houses) homes built.

These will be available between November 2018 and June 2019
